What is Porcelain?

Porcelain is a manufactured stone made of clay and minerals. It is highly resistant to heat, scratches, stains and moisture, making it a suitable option for countertops. Because it is manufactured, the appearance can resemble the look of natural stone like granite and marble, while requiring very little maintenance. Although porcelain does have its benefits, it is a very brittle material, making edges and corners prone to chipping. While it is a stylish option, it is not the most durable of choices for countertops.
